Overhead Crane Safety for General Industry

This course provides comprehensive training on overhead crane safety, specifically tailored for general industry environments in compliance with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.179. The training covers OSHA regulatory compliance, overhead crane types, rigging methods, pre-operation inspections, safe load handling practices, common hazards associated with overhead crane operations, emergency response procedures, and operator responsibilities.

Participants will complete practical, hands-on activities such as overhead crane inspections, rigging demonstrations, hand signaling practice, and emergency response drills. This course explicitly does not cover crane safety practices or standards applicable to the construction industry (OSHA 29 CFR 1926).
